Homemade Face Oil? Don’t Buy From an Excessive Oil Maker

Put simply, face moisturizers are simply one of the many different skin care products available. They are specifically tailored to work together with your own natural oils to keep your skin balanced at all times. Your body produces these oils naturally as part of your body’s metabolism but as with everything else in life, they can become depleted if not used regularly. Your goal should be to replenish these oils from within your own system. The only way to do this is by means of a facial moisturizer.

Before you even consider buying any type of face moisturizer, it is important to understand what the best types are. What you need to know is that you need to avoid the ones that contain alcohol because these can actually strip away some of the healthy oils you have in your system. To avoid this you will want to find face moisturizers that are made with natural plant oils, such as macadamia oil. The same is true when it comes to moisturizing your hands or any other body parts where you are likely to come in contact with dirt or germs. Simply avoid these and your risk of drying out your skin will be greatly reduced.

The most important thing to keep in mind about moisturizing your face is that you don’t want to overdo it. In other words, you don’t want to use your face moisturizer every day or you will end up with excessive dryness. If you end up with excessively dried skin it can result in flaky, red and irritated skin. This is not what you want from your skincare regimen and will actually harm the skin more than if you were using an effective face moisturizer in the first place.

So, before you buy skincare products consider reading the ingredients. Some of the most effective ingredients for treating and soothing the skin are plant-based oils, such as avocado oil and macadamia oil. These two ingredients are very well known and have been used for years as facial moisturizers. Other ingredients that are also effective are natural vitamin E, honey, and organic botanical extracts.

The reason I advocate using a moisturizer containing these ingredients is because they are not as harsh as ingredients like mineral oil or petrolatum. For example, the makers of the popular Face Moisturizer by Dr. Oz tell you that the product is designed for sensitive skin, since sensitive skin can react badly to some of the components of face oil. However, Dr. Oz misleads the viewer by showing you the ingredient list, which does not include one of the most effective moisturizers for people with sensitive skin. What is this ingredient? That’s right, Dr. zampella says it is the “vegetable oil extract” called papain.

The ingredient that is listed, along with other ingredients, should be in every quality skincare product. Dr. Oz advises against the use of “low-grade” essential oils, but there is no requirement to use face oil alone. Essential oils can be used in combination with carrier oils, and with other beneficial ingredients. As long as the formula contains the above ingredients, you can be sure that it will provide you with excellent results.
